Accident to Mr B. Galagher.

On Friday evening last Mr B. Gallagher was returning home to Ureytown by way of the Carterton road, when not far from the Platform he met with an accident by being thrown from bia horse, and. judging by the marks upon the road, was dragged a distanoe of abont fifteen yards. It appears that two ladies going towards Carterton discovered Ur Gallagher, and they rode on and met Ur George Gardener who was tiding towards Greytown. That gentlemen lost no time, and when he came to the spot found Ur Gallagher lying face downwards, and bleeding from a wound in the head ; he was also nnooneoions. Mr Gardener tried to slop the flow of blood and to rally the sufferea. Some little time after Ur X. Kempten and Dr Spratt arrived and did all that was possible, Dr Spratt returning and sending oat a conveyance. Mr Gallagher was then re* moved to his home in Greytewn and Dr Bey was called in. From the time he was found on the road np to to day ha was anconsious.
