Concert at Carterton.

The sixth of a series of cheap concerts was given at the Lyceum Hall on Monday evening, Messrs W. Moore and R. Fairbrother having provided ao excellent programme. The String Band, under the lead of Mr Lundqvist, played some good selections during the evsniog. Mr Monotieff sang “ M’hm”, and was fenoored. He later on eang “My Wife’s Relations.” Mrs Samuel was enoored for her song “ Just as Well.” Mr A Moore gave a specimen of his skill with the Indian clubs and was recalled. Mr Croft received an euoore for his song 11 Woman, Lovely Woman.” Miss Telford sang “ We’d Better Bide a Wee." Mr Lundqvist (Mr Keieenberg accompanied upon the paino) played a violin solo. Mr Thompson gave a few ventriloquial sketches, and being enoored sang “ The Hungry Man from Frisco.” Mr Lundqvist, Gardener, and Potts having played " Tie But a Faded Flower," the audience were treated to a comedietta entitled " Withered Leaves” in which two lady amateurs and Messrs W. Moore, Johnson, Stansfield, and R. Jfairbrother took part. The whole performaaoe was highly pleasing and much enjoyed by a veij large audience.
