In an American journal received by last mail the following items appear under the heading of “ Women and their Work,” and as the subject of the higher education of that sex appears to be engaging the attention of many persons, chiefly through a letter which appeared in last Friday's issue of this paper, we quote the items that the ladies may takeioourage:— Miss M. Breckinridge, of Kentucky, is studying law with a view of practising with her father.
