The Greytown Rifles held their first shoot, ing match on Saturday afternoon. The match wag to have been Married v. Single, but on account of several football matches taking place there were not sufficient men on the ground to make it strictly a match, Married v. Next Saturday class firing wilt be resumed, and the Saturday following probably the match, Maetertou v. Greytown will taka place at Greytown. The Company will parade on Tuesday (to morrow) night at the Town Hall, when the Captain will have something important to communicate in the interests of the Corps; Arrangements will shortly be made for • battalion drill of the Wairarapa Corps at Featherston.

The next inspection ol the Qreytoww Volunteers will be on Monday, 27tb instant. Fapawai on tbe same date in the afternoon. On Saturday the Commanding Officers of the several Corps in the Wairarapa alien dsd a meeting at Featherston to consider tbe new regulations. There were present Captain Cameron ((Jreytown), Captain Jury (Papawar), Captain A. Donald (Featherston), and Lieut Thompson for Captain D. Donald (Mastertou). It was resolved that copies ol tbe regulations be forwarded to all the officers of the Wairatapa companies for their perusal previous to holding another meeting at Carterton. Some other business was trans sac ted, and tbe meeting adjourned.
