Shocking Accident.

Brisbane, August 10.

H.M.S. Myridon reports that on the 7th July a boat was sent out to heave the anchor. The anchor rose, and was slung at the stern of the boat. The ship hauled the boat in. When there were still SO fathoms of cable to be Love in, the officer in the boat was ordered to let the anchor go. The officer forgot that the heavy rope attached to the crown of the anchor was coiled in the boat. Bryant, a petty officer, Francis Taylor, the boatswain, and Harry Bowers, an A.8., were caught in the coils of the rope, and were dragged to the bottom, a distance of 160 fathoms, .and were drowned. The bodies were recovered a quarter of an hour afterwards, still in the coil of rope. They were buried at sea.
