The Stamp Acts Amendment Bill, which has been introduced into the Legislature by Sir Julius Vogel, provides that the stamp duty on conveyances on sale shall bo 7s 6d for every £SO or part of £SO; also, that where any property is legally or equitably transferred to or vested in any person for a nominal consideration, or where no consideration passes for every £SO or part of £SO of the amount or value of the property conveyed or transferred as assessed under “ The Property Assessment Act, 1885,” or any Act'ameuuing the same at the date whan such instrument takes effect, a fee of 7s (id shall be charged.
