CHOLERA SPREADING IN ITALY. DISORDERLY SCENES IN THE N.S.W. assembly. London. July 22. * Sixty thousand repeating rifles have been served to the French troops. Tbe Duo d’Aumale notifies that he will legally resist the removal of his name from the Army List by the French Government. The Russian Government has explained to the other Powers that Batuom, in the Black Sea, will remain a commercial, though not a military port. The Tasmanian loan of £1,000,000 has been covered twofold, there being 330 tenderers. Those at £99 13s 6d received 38 per cent. Tbe ontbreak ol cholera is spreading in Italy in an alarming manner. At Wimbledon in the contest for the Windmill prize, Captain Blacksbaw, of New Sonth Wales, scored 32 points for 7 shots at 200 yards. Sydney, July 12. The proceedings in the Legislative Assembly ate commented upon by the press generally in terms ol great condemnation, the scenes in the Chamber daring the recent lengthened sitting being characterised as disorderly beyond description. The sitting lasted 56i hours.
