FINAL BESULT OF THE ELECTIONMB GLADSTONE HOPELESSLY IN A MINORITY, Loudon, July 12. The following is an estimate of the final result of the general election t—Conservative, 327 ; Unionists, 77 ; Gladstones. 187 I Puruellites, 87. The returns of yesterday's elections show tbst the former Liberal seats for Sutherland and Tynside have been secured by supporters of Mr Gladstone.

The opposition ol Mr John Bright to the Home Bale policy of Mr Gladstone has seriously damaged tbe latter in connection with the present election campaign, lu many cases the defeat of candidates presenting themselves as supporters of Mr Gladstone is ascribed to this cause.
