NOTICE is hereby given that the above Board intend, at a meeing to be held on SATURDAY, JUNE 19, instant, to make a RATE of Ofd in the f on all properties in the Featherstou Road Distinct as appearing in the Valuation Roll now in force, and a RIVER RATE of OJd in the £ on all properties within the Waiohine River District in the Peatherston Road District, for the year commencing on the Ist April, 1886, and ending on 31st March, 1887. Such rates to be payable in one sum ou the 30th day of June, 1886. TT is hereby notified that the Pahiatua Village Special Settlement Sections will be open for selection at this office on and after Friday, June 18, 1886. Applications can also be lodged with the ranger, as Sieward of the Village Settlement, at Pahiatna up to 16th June. There are 58 sections, ranging in area from 4 to 20 acres each ; leases at rentals from about 2s 9J to 6s an acre will be granted for 30 years, renewable for fnr ther periods of 21 years, but without righof purchase. Advances on certain condit tions may be obtained from the Govern-, ment to enable selectors to build houses and Improve their holdings j 5 per cent, will be charged on the amount advanced. Residence and certain improvements are compulsory. Plans, conditions, and regulations may be seen and obtained at Railway Stations and Post Offices in Wellington district, Any further information that may be required own be obtained from the Steward of the Village Settlement, Mr. Mackay, who will be at Pahiatua from Oth to 16.h June, or from this office and other Land Offices in the Colony.
