The break up of the drought has caused much rejoicing in Sydney. A very general downpour of rain has taken place in New South Wales and Queensland, The heaviest fall occurred in the Narribi district, New South Wales, where it has been raining in such torrents that precautions are being taken against floods and loss of life.
