Maori Mormons.

Son of the Waikato Natives have been converted to the doctrines of Mormonism certain elders from the Salt Laks City. Certain Waikato chiefs threatened to kill the would-be “ bigamists,” “ trigamists,’ and aspirants after the possession of any number of wives. Tbe Mormon Elders were also threatened with " the happy despatch.” Tha threatened men have appealed for protection to Mr Ballanoe, who, however, ridicules their fears and expresses mingled pity and contempt for their errors. U the husband and all the wives lived together, night and day, in a small whare, things might be lively indeed inside that domicile.
