Temperance Meeting at Carterton.

A meeting of those interested in the Temperance cause was held at the Carterton Public Hall on Wednesday night. The Itev ,1. Wald was voted to the chair and opened the proceedings by making a speech suitable to the occasion.

The Hev Mr Buttle, of Mastertou, also addressed the meeting at some length expounding on the evils of the liquor traffic.
