Taratahi-Carterton Road Board.

The ordinary monthly meeting ol the above Board wo* held on Saturday, fresant— Messrs W. Booth (in the chair), H. Braithwaito, H. B. Bunny, N. Grace, E. W. Donat, and A. Gallon.

From Chief Survey Office n road through section 216, Matsnwa. The Clerk was instructed to send a copy of the tetter to Mr C. Phillips. From Mr Shsw applying to be allowed the gates on the road leading to his property. (Waignawa Golly). The application waa granted. Tenders wen opened lor worki at Matarswa, and Mr P. Carr’s tender was accepted for formation on Joseph’s line at £8 10s, and metalling Bail way road at 87s 6d per chain, metalling Mofiatt'a lins at 17s 6d per ehaiu, and Mr 0. Neiison formation of MoCatt's lias at 28t 6d pet chain. Aeoonnts were pasaed for payment to the amount ol £BB 14a 7d. The clerk was instructed to notify by ad vertisement that all unpaid rates after the Ist March, 1886, weald be sued ler without feither notice. Mr H. B. Bunny aaked to have tenders called for formation and metalling 84 chains and for formation of 80 chains on Carterton - Gladstone rosd. (Mr Boys here entered and look the chair). Mr Booth asked leave to expend about £lO on Dalefield Boad. Leave granted. Mr H. Braithwaite aaked to have about ate chains more of metalling to the contract on Oliver'a Line. Granted. Mr Boya aakad leave to employ Mr Darrook lot a few day* on the road neat the Taratahi Dairy Factory. Granted.
