Wednesday's Show.

The committee of the Wairarapa and East Coast Pastoral and Agricultural Association, met at the County Chambers, Carterton, on Saturday. Present: —Messrs B. Boys (in the chair), W. O. Buchanan, H. R. Bunny, W. Booth, Price, Seed, Reynolds, Dorset, Parker, &c. A quantity of routine business re Wednesday’s Show was transacted and judges were appointed for the various classes of exhibits. The beat exhibitors in the Valley have made entries and the affair is expected to be the largest of the kind yet held in the Valley. The entries np to the present are as follows : Poultry, 78 ; pigeons, 16 ; dogs, 46 ; canaries, 13. A quantity of other novelties will be presented. Entries for many of the classes close on the morning of the Show. The public will be admitted to the Show ground at 11 a.m., and to the Flower Show at 2 p.m. The hall and grounds will be closed at 6 p.m., and the hall will be re-opened for the evening at 7. Vehicles will be allowed on the ground and horses may be secured in the cattle pens without extra charge, but only to the extent of the accommodation available.

A Promenade Concert will take place at the hall in the evening.
