THE WELLINGTON RACING CLUB SPRING MEETING. The Spring Meeting of the Wellington Racing Club took place on Saturday at the Hutt under exceptionally favorable circumstances as regards weather, but the attendance was not large. SECOND DAY. The races on Saturday were shorn of rt good deal of their interest by the fact that all the best horses in the principal race were scratched the night before on the appearance of the weights. Mr Evett’s handicapping on this occasion certainly failed to give the satisfaction which it usually does.
