TO STAND THIS SEASON. The well known Thoroughbred Entire Horse, NANAKIA, WILL be at the service of breeders at Maryborough. Terms, £3 Bs. Groom’s fee, ss. Paddooking free, until mares are stinted (of which due notice will be given), after which 2s 6d per week will be charged for paddocking. All fees to be paid before mares are taken away. September 25, 1885. 77q THE GEAND ANNUAL SHOW, Under the Auspices and Direction of the WAIEAEAPA AND EAST COAST PABTOEAL AND AGEICULTUIIAL SOCIETY, Will be held on the SOCIETY’S SHOW GROUNDS, AT CAETEETON ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 1885. THE Show will include Horses, Cattle, Sheep, Pies. Implements, Farm and Dairy Produce, Vehicles and Industrial Exhibits. The Society will as in previous years, offer about forty cold and silver medals, as well as cash prises, in each of the above stated sections of exhibits, and in addition hereto a large number of valuable special E rises in cash and in plate have been promised, ringing the total amount of all prizes fully up to the average of the last three years, A Leaping Match, a Shearing Match, and a trial of Sheep Dogs, will take place on the Grounds during he afternoon. . „ . Programmes and Prize Lists giving full mformaticn as to conditions of entry, regulations for judging, and all other details are now being prepared And will be published and circulated shortly. Arrangements will be made to run special trains at reduced rates, also to have the Show bay proclaimed a Bank and General Holiday throughout the Valley. Intending Exhibitors are informed that entries close on SATURDAY the 24th dav of October, 1886, at noon, either at the Secretaires Office, Carterton, or at the offices of Messrs R. Brown and Co., fasterton ; F. H. Wood and Co., Greytown ; and J. D. Oakly, Featherston, and that no entries can be received after that date. . All communications in reference to the Show addressed to the Secretary at Carterton by letter or telegram will be promptly attended to.
