A Child Burnt to Death.
A sad accident is reported from Leeston. Three children of Mr Douglas were playing on a straw sack the other afternoon, when one ci them, who had some matches, set (ire to the straw. Though assistance was close at band and two of the children were dragged from the burning straw, the Tames had got too great a hold for it to be possible to save the third child, a little boy three years old, who was burned to death.
