CHOLERA INCREASING IN ITALY. REVOLUTION IN ROUMELIA. Lokdoh, September 19. Seven thousand one hundred bales were catalogued at to-day’s wool sales, the demand being steady, but not active. September 20. Advices from Sicily state that cholera is increasing to an alarming extent in Palermo. News is to band from Roumelia of a revolution that has taken place there, though fortunately of a peaceful nature and unaccompanied 1 by bloodshed. The inhabitants of the province seized the Turkish Governor, Aleko Pasha, and issued a proclamation declaring the union of Roumelia with Bulgaria. The , Roumelian Army took the oath of allegiance t to Prince Alexander of Bulgaria, and are now occupying several strategic points on the Turkish frontier. In consequence of these ( events, the Bulgarian Army has beon mobilised. Mr Gladstone in his manifesto to the electors of Midlothian, referring to a reform of the House of Lords, expresses the opinion that the lime is yet distant when it can be expected, and he urges that it is necessary to recognise the influence of birth and wealth. .
