PoLmoii. affairs in Wellington are in a seething and fermenting condition, Mr Dargaville has seceded from the ranks ut Ministerial supporters owing to the finance policy of the Government. Mr Pulton and Mr G. P. Richardson are said to have followed his example. Political parties are in a state of confusion, but a general feeling is expressed m most quarters that the financial policy of the Government and their proposed guarantee of £!)8,00(J a year for the Paai and West Coast Railway are utterly objectionable.
