The Murder of the Ameer.
Tims intelligence that the Ameer of Afghan' istaii has been murdered by his personal attendants is somewhat startling. Abdur llahinan Khan, the slain Ameer, was reported t > 1m a linn friend to England, and in all the existing difficulties connected with the Afghan question, the authorities, both in Eng.and and India, regarded him with the utmost confidence. The murder of the Ameer may therefore much complicate the position of affairs.
