WEDDING BELLS
HALL—McGOWAN. The Methodist Church at Waiuku, presented an animated scene on the occasion of the marriage of Florice May, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs J. McGowan, and Kenneth George, only son of Mir and Mrs G. D. Hall, of Kio Kio. The Rev. R. Day, of Huntly, officiated at the ceremony, whilst Mrs McEwan provided the music for the function. The bride entered the Church upon the arm of her father. She wore a frock of ivory wind-swept satin, moulded to the figure, the inset godets adding fullness below the knees. Her handembroidered ivory tulle veil was attached by circlets of orange blossoms to a Juliet cap of silver lace, and then fell in soft folds to complete the train. Her bouquet was comprised of chrysanthemums from which was suspended a silver, horse shoe, presented by the Waiuku Women's Institute. Miss Gertrude Kelland was. bridesmaid and was prettily attired in a frock of soft taffeta, patterned in tones of blue and pink. Her pink hat was relieved with blue and she carried a bouquet to harmonise. Mr Neville Haddock functioned as best man. The bride's going-away costume was a nigger-brown frock with hat to tone. The honeymoon will be spent in a motor tour of the southern provinces.
