PIRONGIA STOCK SALE. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, Company, Limited, Hamilton, report on their Pirongia stock sale held on Wednesday as follows: —A good yarding of both fat and store cattle came forward and prices realised were easily up to recent Frankton quotations. We quote:—Prime fat cows and heifers £4 to £4 15s, good quality fat cows £3 to £3 7s 6d, lighter do £2 10s to £2 17s 6d, forward cows £2 to £2 7s 6d, meaty store cows £1 10s to £1 15s, medium do £1 6s to £1 10s, boners 18s to £1 ss, yearling Jersey heifers £1 to £1 10s, medium class dairy cows £2 to £3 ss, bulls £2 to £3. TE AWAMUTU STOCK- SALE. v The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report having held their Te Awamutu sale on Thursday when another good yarding of sheep was penned, consisting mainly of fat lambs, these being slightly easier than recent sales. Fat ewes a'nd wethers sold freely prices remaining firm. A medium yarding of fat cattle sold well while stores were dull of sale. Pigs: A smaller entry than usual of both fats and stores met with keen competition and the whole yarding* sold at satisfactory prices. Quotations: —Sheep: Fat wethers 21s to 23s 9d, prime heavy fat lambs 22s 6d, prime medium fat lambs 19s to 19s 9d, lighter fat lambs 16s lOd to 18s 6d, unfinished lambs 15s 6d, fat ewes 18s 3d' to £l, unfinished ewes 13s 6d to 15s, s.m. ewes r.w. S.D. rams 15s Id, cull ewes 3s to 7s 6d. Cattle: Prime medium fat steers to £7, prime fat heifers £3 17s 6d to £4, lighter fat heifers £2 to £2 7s 6d, heavy fat cows £3 10s to £4, light fat cows £2 to £2 Tss, heavy store cows 33s to 365, good bor.ers 25s to 31s, boners 12s to 225, Jersey heifers, yearling, medium quality 15s to 17s, Jersey ci'oss heifers in milk £4 10s to £5 ss, Jersey heifers close to profit £3 5s to £4.
