LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
MEETING OF NGAHAPE BRANCH. The usual monthly meeting of the Ngahape branch of the League of Mothers was held at the residence of Mrs Andrews on 15th May, Mrs J. Mclntyre presiding. The thought for the month was “Hope on, hope ever, though to-day be dark, the sweet sunburst may smile on you to-morrow.” A short article on “ Women Police in England,” was read by Mrs Andrews, which was very interesting and instructive. A presentation was made to Mrs Moncrieff-Wright, who is leaving the district. Mrs Moncrieff-Wright had been secretary to the branch for two years, and is an original member and settler. Afternoon tea and a social chat brought a pleasant meeting to a close.
