OBITUARY
MR GEORGE CLIFFORD. The death occurred at Masterton last week of Mr George Clifford, a very highly-respected resident. The late Mr Clifford, who was born in England in 1869 arrived in New Zealand with his parents when five yeai"", of age. He was a member of the Foresters' Lodge for 36 years, during which time he was a very willing worker in furthering the cause of the Order. He was also an honorary member of the Masterton Fire Brigade for a number of years, an.djit one time a member of the old Wellington Navals. He is suiwived by a widow, and two daughters. Mrs R. A. Larsen, Masterton. and Mrs E. Mothes, Wellington, and two sons, Messrs G. T. F. Clifford, Tokomaru, and J. B. D. Clifford, Te Awamutu. There are also five grandchildren. Mr B. Clifford, of Wellington, is a brother.
