ASSISTING ENTERPRISE
IMPORTANT GOVERNMENT PROPOSAL. WELLINGTON, this day. A scheme to assist building industry by subsidy for the construction and renovation of dwellings, public buildings, dairy factories, freezing works and factories for non-competi-tive industries, also for manufacture of business premises is announced by the Minister of' Employment and the Unemployment Board. In cases where work is approved the amount of subsidy paid will be 33 1-3 per cent of wages received provided it will not exceed 22s 6d for any person in any one week. New Zealand materials and products must be used wherever possible.
