OBITUARY
CENTENARIAN'S DEATH. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. The death oc-Vrred yesterday of Mrs Emma Haggett, aged 100 years. She came to New Zealand in June, 1844 in the sai'ing ship British Empire with her husband, the late Daniel Haggett. They landed at Lyttelton. Deceased was a keen Congregationalist and prohibitionist, and leaves three sons and two daughters, and 24 grand-children and 34 greatgrandchildren.
