CHILD BADLY BURNED
MOTOR-CAR CATCHES FIRE. (By Telegraph. Prqss Association.) HAMILTON, Friday; A child, Brian Soanes, aged two years, was severely burned about the face and hands at hisvhome in Peach Grove Road, Hamilton, to-day, through a motor car catching fire. The cag was being cleaned with benzine by the child’s father,; Mr P. Soanes, 23, and ignition of the cleaning material was caused through a short circuit. A burst of flame caught the child in the face. The outbreak was quickly suppressed by the father, who Was burned, about the hands. The child was removed to the Waikato Hospital. His condition is serious. Little damage was done to the car.
