THEFT OF BLANKETS
YOUTH ABUSES CHARITY. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) HAMILTON, Friday. The theft of two blankets valued at £l, the property of the Defence Department, was admitted by John William Taylor, aged 21, in the Hamilton Police Court to-day. Senior Sergeant Sweeney said the thefts occurred at Napier where accused was given free accommodation for a night. Accused had previously borne a good character. The magistrate, Mr Wyvern Wilson, said accused had shown lack of gratitude for the charity that had been given to him. Accused was convicted and remanded for sentence until Monday. _
