LOCAL BUTTER MARKET
DROP IN PRICES. At the present time, dairy companies are selling finest brands of butter to storekeepers at Is lid per lb., with a discount of Id for cash. A drop of 2d per lb. in all grades is announced by the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., in a circular forwarded to storekeepers yesterday by Mr C. J. Parlane, general manager. The circular states that as. from Monday next the prices of their various brands to storekeepers will be as follows: Anchor and Acorn, Hid; Daffodil, 10ld; Whey, 9|d. These prices are subject to the usual discount of Id per lb.
