FAREWELL TO SCHOOL TEACHERS.
A very pleasant function was held at theiOhaupb State School on Thursday afternoon, when a large number of parents ;: and; children gathered to bid farewell to Mr.; and Mrs Kelly and family and Miss iLethaby.'Little Joan :Smillie presented Mrs Kelly with a bouquet.. .--•/Miss Annie .Wjouldes, a. sixth standard pupil, asked Mr' Kellyj on behalf of the school children, to accept a travelling for his success in his new home. ?Mjfes vLoreenl Boyd presented Mrs Kelly with'a beautiful vase, r -Mr' J. ML Boyd, chairman of the School; Conunittee, oh behalf of -the district, asked Mr Kelly to accept a beautiful writing desk as a token of their appreciation. Mr Anderson-endorsed the chairman's "remarks. ; ,r, Mr on behalf: of Sis ;wife and- ; family, thanked Miss Wouldes and "Messrs Boyd and Anderson for the beautiful presents mentary remarks. ,- .Miss Margaret Sinilße vtheii : '.presented, on behalf of the scholars, a beautiful camera to Miss Lethaby, assistant teacher, and wished her success in her new sphere. ". r' Afternoon tea was served by the pupils of the sixth standard.
