COMPARATIVE FIGURES INTERESTING.
The N.Z. Herd Testing Association's figures for November, especially those dealing with groups in Te Awamutu district and neighbourhood, nxake interesting reading, and the totals compare quite favourably with the Association's averages. In Hairini group, the 1453 cows averaged 901 lbs of milk, 4.43 test, and 35.53 lbs fat. The best herd, 34 cows, averaged 44.11 lbs fat, and the lowest 23.16 lbs. The best cow gave 79 lbs fat.
Kawhia group, which has 903 cows, averaged 771 lbs milk, 4.0 test and 30.89 lbs fat. * The best herd average was 47.08 lbs fat from 45 cows, and the lowest 24.33 lbs. The best individual producer gave 85 lbs fat. In Kihikihi group, comprising 1808 cows, the average was 830 lbs milk, with a 4.35 test and 36.11 lbs fat. The best herd, 49 cows, averaged 43.75 lbs fat and the lowest 30.19 lbs fat. The best cow gave 107 lbs fat. The Ohaupo group's 1525 cows avei'aged 918 lbs milk, 4.28 test and 34.85 lbs fat. The best herd average was 44.75 lbs flat from, 28 cows, and the lowest 29.18 lbs. The best cow produced 88 lbs fat. The 1523 cows in Otorohanga No. 1 group averaged 864 lbs milk, 4.22 test and 36.47 lbs fat. The best herd, 80 cows, averaged 44.46 lbs fat; the lowest 30.57 lbs. The best cow gave 78 lbs fat. ■'; In the No. 2 group, comprising 1115 cows, the average milk production was 798 lbs, with a 4.30 test and 34.39 lbs fat. The best herd average was 46:55 lbs fat from 43 cows, and the lowest 26.72 lbs. The best individual cow produced 81 lbs fat. : Paterangi's group's 1564 cows averaged 822 lbs milk, 4.24 test and 34.86 lbs fat.. The best herd, 28 cows, averaged 39.92 lbs fat; the lowest 26.72 lbs.
