EXCESSIVE SPEEDING
LORRY DRIVERS FINED. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) HAMILTON, Friday. Two motor-lorry drivers, William Bickley and William John Jones, were found travelling on the Great South Road at Te Rapa at 35 and 30 miles per hour respectively. The two men were prosecuted in the Hamilton Magistrate's Court to-day for exceeding the speed limit. Inspector Maguire said the maximum speed the defendants' vehicles were permitted to travel was 16.8 mixes per hour. Each defendant was fined £5 and costs.
