TE AWAMUTU STOCK SALE
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their - usual triweekly stock sale at Te Awamutu on Thursday last as under: There was a good yarding of all classes of stock and a really good sale resulted. The following are principal prices obtained. Fat two tooths 28s, small ewe lambs 15s 9d and 16s, ewes in lamb 18s, wether lambs 12s 7d. Fat bullocks £l4 12s 6d, £l4 ss, £ll, best prime cows £9 10s to £l2, light fat cows £7 10s to £8 15s, Jersey cows and heifers £5 2s 6d to £6 10s, 2 year empty Jersey heifers £4, £3 7s 6d, £4 2s 6d, £4 ss, store cows £3 5s to £6, 15 months Shorthorn steers £4 16s, Jersey cross ditto £2 15s. There was a large yarding of dairy cows and heifers, which met with a keen demand at full late rates. Best cows close to profit £lO to £l2, others £5 10s to £8 10s, best dairy heifers £lO to £l3, inferior and backward heifers £5 5s to £7 10s. A large yarding of pigs sold under keen competition. Baconers, light £2 Is Bd, porkers £2 13s, forward stores 30s to 38s, small stores 22s to 28s, weaners 17s to 20s.
