BOOKMAKING CHARGE
', HAMILTON TAILOR PLEADS GUILTY. (By Telegratm—Press Association) * HAMILTON, Friday. Harry A. Samuels, tailor, of Hamilton, was fined £25 and costs 16s in the Huntly Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr J. H. Luxford, S.M., on a charge of carrying on the business of a bookmaker in Huntly.
The police information showed that Samuels, during the Christmas racing carnival in Auckland, was seen laying odds with passengers on the limited express train at Huntly station. Defendant, who was not represented by counsel, entered a plea of guilty.
