CLERK'S ALLEGED THEFT
SUM OF OVER £7OO INVOLVED. (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Friday. Charged with the theft of £767 3s 4d from his employers, Joseph Henry Pike, clerk to Scott and Menzies, auctioneers, was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. The alleged thefts were committed between November 11, 1926, and January 27, 1928, when accused was cashier. Bail was fixed at £3OO, with two sureties of £l5O each.
