At the annual meeting of the King Country Rugby Union, during the discussion on the impasse in the northern portion of the district, the chairman said the Union would be quite within its right in accepting Maniapoto's secession, granting Otorohanga's application for a sub-union, and awarding the latter Maniapoto's territory.
