In connection with the bankruptcy of Kingi, the Maori footballer, a lette r has been received from the Maori Welfare League at. Ratana stating that the league is willing to lend bankrupt’s father £IOO with which to pay his son’s debts. At a meeting of creditors yesterday bankrupt’s father gave an assurance tha" he would settle his son’s debts out of the loan. The creditors decided to permit Kingi to leave the country with the Maori footballers for the tour of France. Kingi left for Wellington to-day.
