ART UNION TICKETS
AN ILLEGAL SALE. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Wednesday. Henry Thomas Walker, in the Police Court to-day, was fined £2 and costs for selling Australian art union tickets in the Melbourne Cup consultation. The police stated that they believed this was an art union fraud. Defendant said he returned the money when he heard the art union was not genuine. / The magistrate stated that defendant was liable to a fine of £2OO.
