MOTORING MISHAP

TWO PERSONS INJURED (By Telegraph. Press Association.) WHANGAREI, Monday. A mishap which befel a motoring party coming in to Whangarei resulted in injury l to two occupants of their car. The scene of the accident was the Huanui concrete bridge, which is approached down a steep hill into a sharp turn. In the front seat of the car was Mr H. Mclnerney (the driver) and an elderly lady (Mrs J. Balgrove), who was coming to Whangarei to visit her daughter in hospital, and Mr D. Cameron was the only occupant of the hack seat. The car missed the bridge, and It is conjectured hit the parapet, slewed round and rolled over sideways down the bank, but not completely overturning. All the occupants weie thrown out. Mr Cameron escaped unscathed, but the driver sustained a scalp wound, and Mrs Balgrove was considerably bruised, besides suffering from shock. Assistance was procured, and alter medical attention all were able to proceed to their homes. The car was not extensively damaged, and was driven into to town later under its own power.
