MANGAPIKO TENNIS AFFAIRS

•Sir—ln the issue of the "Waipa Post" dated 14th. reference was made to a request for the use of the Mangapiko school tennis court, by adult tennis nlayers of the Mangapiko district, and the same being refused by the local school committee. Now, sir, I, as cbairman of the Committee referred to, have no hesitation in saying that had the request been made in the ordinary way it is quite possible the request may have been favourably received. Seeing that the tennis club first held an opening day, and then subsequently asked for the use of the court. I consider their action to be out of order. I therefore fail to see where the severity can be justly applied—l am' etc. J. PAPESCH, Chairman Mangapiko School Committee.
