BEAUTIFYING SOCIETY'S EFFOBT. SOME BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS, j The annual rose show organised by the Te Awamutu Beautifying Society was opened yesterday afternoon in the Town Hall, and there was a wealth of very beautiful blooms and other exhibits of an attractiTjs nature. Though some of the classes faUed to attract entries, there waqA:een competition in many of the others, and the judges must have experienced great difficulty in making their awards. However, they appear to have given general satisfaction. Through an unfortunate mistake there was practically no competition in the children's sectioa - —a department that in other years has been a feature of the show.
