EARTHQUAKE SHOCKS

RECORDED IN VARIOUS LOCALITIES. A sharp shock of earthquake was experienced in Te Awamutu at twentyone minutes past ten o'cock last evening. The shock was much more pronounced than any of the kind experienced for some years. 'So far as we can learn, however, no damage was caused. (By Telegraph. The volcano is still active to-day, though not to the same extent as- yesterday. Last night several earthquake shocks were felt in the vicinity of Waimarino., ROTORUA, This Day. A report fromf Taupo states Ngaruhoe yesterday was smoking strongly belching out great clouds of vapour. By using a telescope last night before sunset heavy smoke could be seen over the mountain.. The whole district is enveloped in a haze, AUCKLAND, This Day. A sharp shock of earthquake occurred in the city at 10.20 last night. Shocks were also felt at Mon fnsville. Waiuku, and elsewhere.
