Judging by the amount of sporting news in the papers games continue to be an important topic of public interest. The lure of war is probably that it is a great game. We speak of the "war game," and send armies and navies out to play at killing each other. That is right. It is a game, ?nd a game at which the stakes are death. This makes it all the more exciting.
