Cr Alexander stated at Monday's meeting of the Waipa County Council that any afflicted person desirous of entering the Waikato Hospital could, on production of a medical certificate, obtain admission if there was room. There was no distinction between the well-to-do and the indigent. There was always a proportion of the inmates who would not be able to pay for their treatment, hut if it was thought the patient was .able to pay
