BRITISH MARKET PRICES. Messrs Dalgety and Company are in receipt of the following cable, dated 21st instant, from their London office: The butter market is depressed. We quote: New Zealand butter, salted, 150 s pei- cwt; Australian, good average quality. 1.40 sper cwt; Danish, 150 s per cwt; finest Australian, salted 146 s per cwt, unsalted 146 s per cwt. A considerable amount of New Zealand butter is arriving, and is being put in cold storage. The cheese market is very quiet, but there is a temporary shortage. We quote: White, 92s per cwt; coloured, 88s per cwt; Canadian, c.i.f., 84s per cwt. but no buyers for the latter.
