ITEMS OF INTEREST. (Resident Representative.) Mr A. H. Wallace, who lately went to the hospital, died on Thursday evening. Deceased was finite a young man and Iris death is considered ft sad loss, the bereaved wife and children having the sympathy of a large circle of friends. Deceased. when being visited on Thursday afternoon by Mr and Mrs Oudaiile, his employers, showed great vivacity and appeared to be on the mend. The concert in aid of the Otoro hanga Town Band, though not attracting a full house, proved a success financially. This was owing to the fact that the local public appreciated the cause and bought, tickets in advance of the '-performance. The performance was framed so as not to lie too long and some of our best local vocal, and instrumental talent proved to be highly appreciated by a music loving audience.
