SUBMERGED WRECKAGE.
STRUCK BY STEAMER. (By Telegraph. —Press Association.) CHRTSTOHURPH. Monday. Tbe coastal steamer Cygnet struck a submerged ohiect two mites off Cape Campbell reef at 8 a.m. on Sunday on the way from Nelson to Kaikoiira. The mate saw a dark obiect ahead and put tbe helm down, but the vessel bumped slightly twice and tbfi engines stnnr>f>d. sucreestinfr tbat wreckage bad fouiefl tbe nrnnel'er. The vessel will dock before commencing the return trip at the end of tbe week.
