LOW-GRADE WOOL.

FREE STORAGE IN AUSTRALIA. Owing to the restricted demand.for low grade crossbred wool, and the« unsatisfactory prices offering, the National Council of Wool Selling Brokeis of Australia has decided to grant free storage until . September 30, 1923, for crossbred wool of a value of from 7d per lb down, and the wool selling brokers of the several States have intimated that advances up to 80 per cent on the value of the wools stored would be made. The object of making these concessions is to enable growers to hold their wool, and not sacrifice same. It is, of course, quite optional for the growers to accept or reject the concessions. It is not known whether any similar scheme is to be put into operation in New Zealand, at all events many growers will be anxious to realise on their clips as early as possible, to enable them to meet their obligations. Some growers are holding now the past season's clip, and some are holding two clips.
