OBITUARY.
MR J. S. EVANS, S.M. (By Telegraph. —Press Association.) NELSON. Friday. The death is announced of Mr James Sim Evans, Stipendiary Magistrate, in Nelson. For thirteen, years he practised law in Invercargill, and was then appointed to the bench at Queenstown. He was chairman oi several Royal Commissions, and of ■the Military Service Board.
