ALLEGATION DENIED.
(By Telegraph. Press Association.) , CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
Regarding the 'comments of Mr J. McCombs, M.P., in the House of Representatives on the alteration of boundaries of the Kaiapoi and Riccarton electorates, members of the South Island Representation Commission refute the insinuation that their decision in the matter tfad been influenced toy any political consideration. Mr H. Quane said that no political influence had been brought to hear on the commission, and the petition objecting to the boundaries as originally decided upon had been considered on its merits.
Mr Bullard (commissioner of Crown lands) indicated that he was in accord with Mr Quane’s statement that no political influence had been used.
